Rose gold Diamond Millgrain Band

What exactly is millgrain?  It comes from the french word ‘mille-grain’, which translates to “a thousand grains.  Tiny rows of beads or dots are created to define patterns or as in this case, an edge or border.

This is another example of a Ringleader Fine  Jewellers custom made Canadian piece.  14kt. Rose gold and the millgrain border are a beautiful compliment to the ten x .05 diamonds for a total diamond weight of half a carat. The diamonds have a nice spread across the top, sitting flush in the band with a shared claw setting.
The total width of the ring is 4.5mm with the millgraining ever so slightly along the edges.  Makes for a nice finishing detail.
